Don't forget to also check the news from the AAGs, which contains information supplied by the AAGs themselves.
The AAG meetings are not closed to the public. However at present only service providers are attending. Advocacy Tasmania have been asked to organise and chair a working group to explore ways of involving people with disabilities, their families and carers. This came from the meeting held on the 13th. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this topic.
Moving forward in 2011. In 2010 all AAGs developed Area Plans covering service development for Disability, Child, Youth and Family Services, now called the Strategic Plan 2011-2014.
If you have a view of what services are needing to be developed in your Area please add a comment to this post. We want to hear from you about what is working, but we also want to hear about GAPs in services. Things that could be done differently or made better. Your comments will be passed on to your local AAG
