In 2010 all AAGs will be developing Area Plans covering service development for Disability, Child, Youth and Family Services.
If you have a view of what services are needing to be developed in your Area please add a comment to this post. Your comments will be passed on to your local AAG.

why Haven’t we been consulted about the gate way service I think we needed to be consulted about this ages ago befor they changed to disability services came along we had 1 consultation
Now we are changing people with disabilities will get confussed

So, I know I’m “late to the party” so to speak, but does anyone know what happened on this? I have relatives in the area nut haven’t discussed it with them in a while.

Area Advisory Groups are running in each region. You can see the area plans that have been developed for the north west on this blog. Any comments would be greatly appreciated and we will ensure they are passed on to the AAG. We want people with disability and their families to take a good look at the plan and see if they think it reflect the needs of people with disability their families and carers, it has been developed by service providers, so comment from others is greatly needed.
